Leopard and Monkey Chase Bowl

Thabiso has skilfully adorned master thrower Japhets bowl with a troop of startled monkeys seeking refuge from two prowling leopards. The monkeys expressive faces capture their fear so vividly that one can almost hear their anxious chattering echo through the trees.

Painter Mthulisi Ncube has transformed the vessel into a lush canopied landscape, covering the inner and outer surfaces with baobab blossoms that contrast beautifully with the unfolding drama, adding both poetry and intensity to this masterful creation.
